Wingspan Health is a healthcare technology company that believes that quality healthcare should be accessible for everyone.
Our web app automatically pulls your records in from your patient portals - whether they're MyChart or another type of software like Cerner, eClinicalWorks, athenahealth, and others.
This lets you see your records in one place so you don't need to hop between lots of accounts to see trends or answer questions a new doctor might have for you.

Hi, I’m Susanne, the founder! I have a rare neuromuscular disease that took me many stressful, sick years to get diagnosed. It wasn’t until I took all of my messy medical records from all the doctors I was sent to and compiled them into a standardized, single place that I (and my doctors) were able to see what was actually going on, and get me feeling better.

Wingspan Health is free through our website! This means you will (always) have access to unlimited, automated connections to doctors and the information they’ve documented about you.
If you would like to have Wingspan Health as a mobile app, it is available on the Google Play Store for $0.99.

Wingspan Health is free for all users. How is that possible? We make money by enabling distributed clinical trials.
Traditionally clinical trials are limited to patients who are close to a trial site. Wingspan Health lets researchers learn from patients wherever they are - which increases diversity.
We built an infrastructure that lets us gather patient records, and thought it would be a waste not to share that technology with regular patients. The more free users we have, the better our technology gets.
And don’t worry, you’ll never end up part of a clinical trial without a lot of conversations and consent.

Wingspan Health is a tool for patients to help make it easier for you to navigate healthcare.
You’re more than welcome to share your records with your doctor (show them your phone or print things out) but we don’t integrate directly with a provider’s EMR.

You can check out if your doctor or health system is connected to Wingspan Health in our interactive Airtable of 1200+ Healthcare Providers.
If you don’t see yours, you can request a connection to them by filling out a form in your Wingspan Health account. Once you submit a request, our team will work on establishing a connection to them to get your medical records into your Wingspan Health account. You will receive an email from us once we’re done!

Wingspan Health runs off of a data standard that’s US specific, so we’re not able to work with providers outside of the United States.
If you’re Canadian, we recommend checking out Dot Health - they do something very similar to us but run off of a Canadian ID.
Otherwise, you’re welcome to manually enter data into Wingspan. Just be warned that our primary users have most of their data come in automatically through connections, so the workflows for manual entry might not be optimized for you.

This is a tough one. If you don’t have access to your health records online, neither do we. It’s likely that these doctors are legally required to provide you online access to your medical records. However, those regulations have also been tough on smaller practices.
For truly offline practices, we’ve built out features that let you manually enter in medications, diagnoses, test results, and PDFs or other records. That way you can still see the information in one place - it just takes a little more work from you.

It depends! If you have paper copies of those records, you can upload those files and manually enter their info to see that health history with your more recent information.
If you don’t have those records, it can be hard to hunt them down. The older the records the harder they typically are to find.

We are HIPAA compliant, encrypt all data in transit and at rest, and have multiple layers of security to keep your information safe.

Your information is only accessible to you and to our backend engineers as necessary to test and maintain the software. If you’re using Wingspan Health with one of our clinical trial partners and you’ve consented to share your information with them, then they will see your medical information too.
